Generate Youth Camp Experiences

I am still all in my feelings over getting the opportunity to watch Jesus show up and show out at Generate Church Camp last week.

At the end of the week I asked if anyone would like to write their perspective of the week.

Since you prayed for these kids and the leaders all week, with their permission, I wanted to share with you their responses.

“Church camp this year has changed me more than any church camp I have ever been to.  I came to Christ for real this time. I had fun.  I listened to amazing sermons and read my bible of my own choice more than I ever have.  I will be coming back next year.”

“My camp experience was eye opening and has helped me get on track to a healing road.”

“This camp trip has been very emotional and I feel it has brought me closer to God and that my faith has grown so much.”

“Generate summer camp, https://generatestudents.com/2022-camps/ has been one of the best experiences of my life.  Not only does it give us the opportunity to have one full week devoted to God and learning about Him, but it gives us the chance to meet so many new people and see members in our youth group grow in their faith and even find God!  There aren’t even words to describe the feeling I get when I get to worship with hundreds of other kids, and just hearing everyone’s voices cry out to God in unison.  I am forever grateful for the opportunity to go to this camp with our amazing youth group & youth leaders and to feel God working through me this week.”

“Relieving, powerful, strong, emotional, forgiving, eye-opening.”

“I had a good experience, just seeing how many people found God.  Last year I was the one that found God and I have had people to help me with Christ and now I get to be one of those people.  It is just an amazing feeling.”

“My experience looks like tears and hugs mixed with mascara filled tissues.  I wish I could say happy tears but I can’t.  They were sad tears of self reflection.  Generate has helped so many people accept Jesus in their heart and know what they had been missing out on.  Even though the tears were sad, they had a good purpose.  There is joy in the house of The Lord.”

Much love,

Chrissy
