Argentina - Iglesia Esperanza de Cambio
Our beautiful Kierstyn! God has great plans for her life and I am thankful to have a ring side seat!
It has taken me a while to process the last couple of months. That being said, I am going to write a little at a time, so check back for more updates.
Leading up to the trip to Argentina, all of our team encountered intense spiritual warfare. Mine seemed to come in the form of hives. We could not seem to identify anything other than stress/spiritual attack that could have been triggering them. The funny thing is that with the exception of one day on the trip, I did not have any breakouts, and the one I had was pretty mild, considering. So thank you, prayer warriors for your prayers! They definitely sustained us!
In addition, I am so thankful for each of you who supported us financially to be able to go. I wrestled with God because I know clearly, First Touch is where he has called our ministry, but then one morning as I was reading my bible, I realized, yes, that is true, but I had also put God in a box thinking that he would only use our ministry in the way I in my humanness envisioned it. I had to surrender again to the fact that His thoughts are higher than mine and His ways are higher than mine. Looking back today, I can see exactly how he was using our story of child loss and beauty from ashes to serve and minister in Argentina and Africa.
Now onto the fun part…the trip
The day after we arrived in Argentina, we drove through the countryside to Junin, to a church called Iglesia Esperanza de Cambio where we were treated to multiple feasts during the day. They are doing amazing things in their community to share Jesus. They have a heart for men with addiction, they are serving and feeding children after school which gives them an opportunity to help with homework and share Jesus with them. They also have a huge heart for the widow/elderly. Their government assistance is not enough for the elderly to live on so the church opens its doors regularly to feed them to help supplement their income.
We heard the most amazing testimonies from men who were battling addiction and mental health issues and how God has restored marriages through it and despite it. Please be in prayer over this church and leadership.
I am so humbled God allowed Blake and me to travel with God's Redeeming Love International to witness it all and to share our testimony of how God has brought beauty from our ashes and honor our son Christopher’s life and legacy since his death.
I never would have dreamed one day I would be sharing my testimony and speaking in churches in other countries, but God knew.
Friends, if the Lord has laid something on your heart, do not let those who only see with human eyes and without Kingdom-minded hearts speak death over those dreams He has for you. He has so much more for you, and he will use your story for His glory if you allow it, and if you don't he will still accomplish His purpose through someone else. Don't miss all he has for your life.
This particular conference in Argentina was centered around the book of Esther so I will leave you with this. "For is you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this. Ester 4:14”
Much love,
Chrissy
